bridesmaid gift

Some time ago we offered one lucky bride the chance to treat her #bridetribe to a vintage bridesmaid gift on us!
But we’ve had such a busy time checking out wedding fayres and some great suppliers that we’ve only just got chance to catch up with our bridesmaid gift winner Gemma Stewart.

As we love to share on YRBrides we asked her to give us an insight into her wedding plans.

The Proposal

bridesmaids gift Gemma said: “My fiancés name is Andrew. We got engaged on Christmas Day 2011, I was holding our baby daughter Ella who was born on 15th September 2011.

We were opening our Christmas presents and he got down on one knee, pulled out an engagement ring from his pocket and proposed. I was over the moon and immediately said yes! We have wanted to get married as soon as possible but with having our daughter Ella and our baby son Ethan who was born on 2nd December 2014, the wedding has been put on hold.”

The Bridesmaids

“My big sister Christine is being my maid of honour, and I have four bridesmaids. These include: Rachael, my oldest and best friend from school. Laura, my younger sister. Rebecca, a very good friend to me. And Ashley, who is Andrews big sister. Our little girl Ella is being our flower girl and our wee son Ethan is our page boy.

“Our wedding planning is going good, although it can be stressful at times, I am genuinely enjoying planning it! Andrew on the other hand is being a typical man and leaving all the decision making to me, which to be honest I don’t really mind. He has came with me to wedding fairs so that’s good enough for me. Weddings are expensive and with having two young children, we are just putting deposits down on everything and paying things off as we go along.”

Get you hankies ready!

“The thing I’m most looking forward to on our wedding day is walking up the aisle to the man I love more than anything in the world, my soulmate and my one true love. I can not wait to see his face, I hope I blow him away in my dress.”

Gemma and Andrew will tie the knot  on  February 15 2018,  at The Loughshore Hotel in Carrickfergus, Northern Ireland.

We wish Gemma and Andrew a fantastic wedding day and long and happy marriage.
