If you’re a cat lover looking for a Leeds wedding venue then listen up!
Leeds cat cafe Kitty Cafe has confirmed plans to apply for a marriage licence to host civil wedding ceremonies.
But you’ll have to wait until at least next year ‘to say I do’ surrounded by some feline friends when the venue plans to host it’s first wedding.
And the Kirkgate based cafe in the heart of the city, is already in talks with a couple looking to secure the fab alternative venue for May 2019.
For those not familiar with the Kitty Cafe, it’s been around for about five months in Leeds and invites diners to chill out surrounded by some of the 35 rescue cats who live on the site.
The Kitty cafe was inspired to apply for the civil licence after hosting the cafe’s first singles night, which was successful.
And it would appear the Kitty Cafe is looking to embrace the trend with animals contining to play a big part in couples’ wedding celebrations.
According to National pet charity Blue Cross asked 2,000 British couples who said they involved their pets because they are such an important part of the family (20%) and some said they had to come along simply because they are so cute (12%).
