It’s nearly FIVE years since Yorkshire Rose Brides blog launched after our editor Louise tied the knot in North Yorkshire and couldn’t shake the wedding buzz!
And quite like a marriage it’s been a journey!
We’ve featured some truly inspirational wedding venues and some incredibly talented creative professionals.
Hosted our own YR Suppliers Club events in Harrogate and Huddersfield.
And we are now thrilled to have moved to The Yorkshire Wedding Mill in Leeds.

What’s the Yorkshire Wedding Mill?
It’s the brain child of event planner Nichola Dixon and her husband Adam.
Nichola has run successful business Franklin Events for the last year but was struggling to manage their ever growing collection at their home.

Nichola explained: “We had been looking at storage units but they were all so expensive.
“Adam’s got a building background, so loved the idea of taking on a Mill and bringing it back to life.
“That’s when I had the idea of creating a space for wedding professionals as a collaboration and the Yorkshire Wedding Mill was born!”
“It’s a great authentic space with plenty of natural light and exposed beams.”

Where is The Yorkshire Wedding Mill?
The Yorkshire Wedding Mill is based in the old pulling Shed at The Swinnow
Grange Mill complex in LS13 Leeds.
The showroom is based over two floors with the downstairs having a more polished and modern style setting and the upstairs being kept true to the property mainly bare brick and original features with a mock aisle dressed in one half.

Who will be at the Mill?
Union of Crowns, Two Little Ducks Videography and Yorkshire Rose Wedding Hire and others looking to come onboard imminently include a stationer and wedding cake maker.
The Mill will also stock a selection of bridal accessories including veils and headwear.

What can it offer?
“It’s great to offer flexibility to couples who are wanting to find quality local suppliers at times to suit their own schedule. Our opening times (see below) means they can come mid week on an evening or Sunday. Unlike a wedding fair, we are a permanent studio so it’s more relaxed wedding planning concept. We offer something unique both to our suppliers who are based here and for couples planning their yorkshire wedding.”

What have you got planned to share your new business to couples?
“We’re having an official launch on September 22nd 11-2pm</strong> so couples can come and meet our resident suppliers and we will also have some guest suppliers coming on the day to welcome couples.”
