Nichola and David’s Wedding

A couple from Birkenshaw only had eyes for each other when they began working together in 2010. Nichola and David clearly hit it off and after three happy years together David popped the question a few days before Christmas. Here’s what Nichola said about their big day:
It felt like a dream, the most amazing day of my life!
Nichola and David –
The preparations We looked at about four or five different venues but when we entered Oakwood Hall in Bingley we just knew it was for us. It had a vibe that we loved! We also liked the fact it was exclusively ours for the full day.Nichola-and-David-467-710x474 I tried to be super organised in my approach, but in the end we took help from anyone we could. I loved planning the wedding but I must admit that in the few months running up to the wedding I found it a bit stressful. We didn’t use a wedding planner. We used Amanda from Ti Amo weddings to help us with our invitations/table decorations/seating plan etc, and she did a fantastic job. She continued with our theme of grey/black/white – the room looked stunning when we entered it. The dress I must admit I was really quite nervous to go wedding dress shopping. I had a feeling it would take me forever to choose a dress. But I actually ended up getting the first dress I tried on – albeit with loads tried on in-between! I ended up wearing a designer Pronovias gown from Confetti and Lace. It was gorgeous. The bridal look I wanted to have a really natural look on my wedding day. I don’t wear a lot of makeup day to day so I didn’t want to look like a different person. My cousin did my hair so I found that great as I was able to talk to her loads in the run up to the wedding. The morning of the wedding I was at my parents house with all my bridesmaids. I was really nervous and excited! They all helped me relax and become ready for the day. The nuptials We got married on Saturday 9th May 2015 and our ceremony was a traditional church wedding at St  Pauls Church, Birkenshaw. Our reception was then held at Oakwood Hall for 92 guests. Words of Wisdom for couples Enjoy planning the day. Don’t stress out on little things, the day will go smoothly regardless! And remember your guests don’t know what you are planning, so if something you want can’t happen, just remember the guests don’t know about it so you aren’t letting anyone down!
